Dan Prince

Mr. Dan Prince joined Spine Colorado in November 2021.  Dan is a Physician Assistant originally from the Chicagoland area.  In 2003, he moved to Fort Myers, Florida when his parents retired.  More recently, Dan and his family moved to Durango to be close to his sister’s family who live in Bayfield.

Dan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois.  He completed his Physician Assistant training at The George Washington University in Washington D.C.  While there he obtained both his Masters of Science in Health Science and his Master’s in Public Health.  He has been certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistance since 2008.

Dan practiced in the field of Neurosurgery as a Physician Assistant from 2008 through 2021.   During that time, he assisted in both spine and brain surgery.  Since joining Spine Colorado, he has been assisting in minimally invasive and open spinal surgeries.

His professional interests include:

  • Minimally invasive spine surgery
  • Complex spine reconstruction
  • Deformity Correction
  • Spinal Trauma

Dan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.  He is licensed by the state of Colorado and has also been certified in both Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
